Today is Chris' birthday. . .I will post his pictures soon when I get a chance! He is living here at home with us until he leaves for school in Phoenix, Arizona in the fall. We are so proud of the man he has become! Happy 24th Birthday, Chris!
I have been trying to read as much as I could about your CI surgeries and activation. Thanks for stopping by and telling me about them.
I have a 46% speech recognation without hearing aids and 60% with hearing aids. My left ear has about an average of 110 degrees hearing loss and the right ear has about an average of 75-90 degrees hearing loss. I don't know if that qualifies me for a CI. But if my vision loss is a consideration...maybe.
I am happy that the quality of your life is so much better for you and your family with your CIs.
This blog is about my hearing loss and cochlear implant journey. I have worn hearings aids for most of my life and now have bilateral cochlear implants. The Divine Creator did give us two ears for a reason and I never dreamed that hearing sounds normally in STEREO would be possible in my lifetime. I am truly blessed to be married to the most wonderful Christian man, Steve, a proud mother to Jason, Chris, Brad, & Marissa, a mother-in-heart to Jessica, Caitlyn, & Jessica (yes, we have 2 Jessica's!), a "Meema" to Jackson, Cameron, Madelyn, Wyatt, Christian, Bennett, Ellie, Olivia, Oliver, & Hannah, honored to be a mentor, friend, & colleague to many, and humbled to be the daughter of the King.
